Enjoy the Hydrangeas at Mimurotoji Temple

 During the rainy season, hydrangeas are in full bloom at Mimuroto-ji Temple in Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture.









 

The scene of people walking among the colorful hydrangeas in the large garden is like an illustration from a fairy tale.


This year, for the first time, we lined up the pots of blooming hydrangeas on the stone steps to make a "Rising Dragon” .


Now, please enjoy the colors and shapes of each hydrangea...











 

 

 

The hydrangea garden is open from June 1 to July 11.

Mimurotoji Temple is a 15-minute walk from Keihan Mimuroto Station.

The admission fee is 800 yen for adults and 400 yen for children during the Azalea and Hydrangea Garden opening period.

During other times, the fee is 500 yen for adults and 300 yen for children.

Visiting hours are:

8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (April 1 to October 31)

8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Nov. 1 - Mar. 31)

Last admission is 30 minutes before closing.

Photography with tripods is not permitted.
